Yes, here is something that's been bothering me for quite a while now. You know that when Wybie comes up to Coraline and is asks her for the doll back? Well, what do you think happened to it? I mean, it wasn't ever found.... D:

But I've also been thinking, what if the Other Mother took it back and made it into that weird mother/father doll?

If the Coraline doll is still in existance, then that could be a used in a sequel, which may either be really good or really bad.

Aren’t there other things that could be used in the sequel? Like maybe the hand could remake itself, get the key, and crawl out of the well? I mean, the Other Mother is just locked behind a little door... -shivers- Also, more history on Wybie, Cat, the Other Mother, Coraline and her parents would be nice... Anyways, it's just a question that's been bugging me. What do you think happened to the doll? Do you think it could be used in a sequel? I must know!

The doll question is very simple to answer.

In the commentary, Henry Selick says that the Other Mother only has on thing in the real world, and that is the doll. So she had to have taken it back and made it into the Mel/Charlie doll. And Coraline Burned that to an oblivion. So, for that, the doll dosn't exist anymore. (Grrrr... Thanks from making me think about the movie... It makes me stressed out.. But I wanted to answer you're question.. So....)


I would love to hear about past pats of Coraline, Wybie, Cat, Other Mother, Ect.'s lifes. That would be a great Idea of a sequel. And the Other Mother's had will find a way to get back together. Its not to hard to put a few needles back together. All you need is some Sticky Tack, and you're back to normal! (Ok.. sorry... I had to say that. XD)

But I think a good idea of a sequel would be like, the history of the Pink Palace. Like, Coraline and Wybie find some stuff, telling them about the children who lived in the house before Wybie's Grandma, and Coraline. And I would LOVE to see Coraline in her school Uniform, Grey... thing... ANYWAYYYYYY..... I would think it would be good to end the movie, like in the middle of summer. I mean, school will end soon in her world. Its February in the Movie. But if they set it in Summer like in the Book, then it would be different! But they left us in cliff hanger, (Which my bro can't stop telling me about every time a t.v. show ends.... -_-) And i think it would be better for us to do things with the characters if we knew more about there life. Which brings us back to the Pasts of the Characters. Coraline's past would b very interesting, for we would meet her friends from Michigan. And learn about what her school was like there. She is in the Middle school after all, so I would think THAT would be interesting to know about! ^^ And I want to know more about Wybie's past.... SO BADDD!!! Like what happened to his Parents. Was he abandoned by them, or did they get killed? OR what!? I just want to know. And I want to know more about Cats past. We dun know much about him. So...

Now you see part of my opinion. Sorry if you can't understand it very well.....

yeah, the doll was destroyed, but I think they can still do a sequel.

if you noticed at the very end, you see Cat go, like, "into" the wooden pole holding up the Pink Palace sign, so maybe he's gone into the other world when he did that.

I'd love a sequel, too.

In my fanfiction I put that the well was another passage to the other world as if you look at it when Coraline and Wybie throw the key etc down it looks like the tunnel. I think the doll was most likely just re made again.
