I knows, she's an important character and all, and I DO like her, she's the PERFECT mysterious Villan we DONT know much about! (her intentions, and WHY she does or how she came to be) but her actual acts left me hurt D:>

Pfft, if she hadn't done what she'd done to the Other Wybie! <XD Guess she wouldn't have been as eeevil then though! Even if he had lived, he'd have been stuck with her when Coraline left. D8 I think he was like, eeh, I'd rather die. <|D Unless she'd managed to take the Other Wybie with her! C|< How would she explain that to her parents?  |

I always thought, that, if she HAD taken him through, he would have turned to dust before they made it <|D I mean we already saw that he was disintegrating, because the other mother was destroying him even before Coraline left! < I guess he wouldn't have wanted her to see that happen <|D |

I still can't believe characters were actually KILLED in this movie. If you can call it that, since they weren't really... technically alive to begin with....
But they STILL seem to have so much life and feelings to them, it makes me so sad... |'8>
But THEN you get into that whole "artificial life" argument that would take DAYS to measure the pros and cons...
All I'll say is that I miss everyone that died....
ok except maybe Other Mr. B or Other Sink and Forcible in their true disfigured forms....

Yeah, the fact that they did actually kill characters made the movie more powerful, sad as it was <|D
I'll miss poor Other Wybie most of all :C
And the Other Father D: Man I really loved the other father!

I know what you mean, And it WASN'T even just KILLING. It was like HUMILIATING THEM too D8> From Other Father being controlled by those piano hands to helping her against Other Mother's will, he drowned...... And Other Wybie? Its bad enough we DON'T know how he was killed, BUT to HANG his body in order to intimidate an 11 yr old girl?  D8> HOW HORRIBLE This really DOES make the movie more powerful, another reason why its so unique and why we really do love it... C:> |

Yup, there hasn't been a movie so 'scary' that's geared twords kids in a long long time, not since back in the day when parents weren't OMG PROTECTIVE over their kids, it's ridiculous how protected children are these days! D:
And then you see a movie like Coraline that, while it is scary at points, mixes that with a lovely fairytale theme, it's whimsical and magical while at the same time being terrifying. And that's what really sets it apart from other movies. Not to mention the characters are so real and believable, you can't help but fall in love with them all! ^^
