So I was reading my book, American Gods by Neil Gaiman, who so happens to also be the author of Coraline. Now...on page 403 there is mentioning of a girl named, Jessie Lovat of African American descent. Could she possibly be related to Wybie Lovat (film)? Or the mysterious Mister Lovat in Coraline (book version)? You tell me, because I just find weird crap related to Coraline and I'm probably not as Coraline-smart as you people.

OMG D8
I think you may have found something!
Do you know which was written FIRST??? XD The very mention of "Lovat" was in the book, as you said, not the movie. Mysterious "Mister Lovat" and I doubt it's just a coincidence. Perhaps Neil Gaiman is secretly/discretely connecting his books? There are authors who do that, which I think is really amazing! Once you read more, please DO TELL! I'd like to look more into this myself.... (:

BRICKING BELGIUM I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CAUGHT THAT! THANK YOU for making me feel a tad more mentally stable. My thoughts on this are that Neil Gaiman probably knows someone whose last name is Lovat and just subtly tosses them in his books once in a while. This is because in the book version of Coraline that he actually wrote, Wybie isn't actually a character. But at a point in the book, Spink or Forcible says to Coraline that Mr. Lovat said something... (can't remember.. I'm in Europe and don't have access to my copy ^-^; ) But the movie people thought that Coraline needed someone who she could tell her thoughts to. Without Wybie, she would be mumbling to herself the whole movie. Hope that helped!

Owo COoooooool! XD
I walk around outside, and I find things that remind me of Coraline. I was watching T.V., and this commercial was playing, well, there was a young girl, short brown hair, brown eyes, a hair-clip, and was wearing rainboots on her feet. They were green, and the outfit she was wearing was a t-shirt and shorts, but every time I see it, I think Coraline! .w. Young(er) Coraline! ^^
(sorry..... ^^')
