What are your opinions on a Coraline sequel? (:
In a way, I would like to see it, and then again I REALLY don't want them touching 'Coraline' if it turns out to be a failure to the original. It would be like making a TNBC 2.
Then again I would LOVE to see more of all the characters. And the plot kinda DOES leave decent enough plot-room for a #2, since, there are still some questions here and there. Like how Other Mother is NOT dead, The key hasn't disappeared (its still in the well), Wybie's deceased parents, more info about cat's background, Gramma Lovat/s past (I would find it interesting), and just MOAR WYBIE IN ACTION XD
I kinda wanna see if their friendship progresses! XD Then again I think it'll be laughs and punches before they get anywhere!
I also wonder how Coraline and Wybie's explanation on the whole thing worked out. Would Coraline tell her parents? Hmmmmmmmm... I just wonder.....
The Problem with a sequel?
Whenever i think sequel, i think Disney, which completely road-kills the original....
as for Coraline however, they have TONS of open space for plot and such, and kinda left the audience at cliff-hangers at some spots!
And how I'd LOVE to see more of our little Wybie <
More interaction with Coraline ahhhhhhh I could DIE! XD
There is something I also want to clarify.
When they were just getting the Coraline page up on Wiki, I DID notice someone secretly snuck in a paragraph on what Coraline 2 was gonna be about |D
lol of course it was taken down and no one ever knew who posted it.
Many people were pissed, for they had been misinformed, and had no proof of it...
LUCKILY i had randomly decided to printscreen it for the lulz, and NOW i have PROOF! Maybe I'll upload it once I get the chance to!
you guys can read it too...
HA found it! ok here it is. I think you'll find this VERY interesting...:
I had read this and freaked and the horror of the plot! DX
I still am glad that I have proof, because whenever I tried to tell someone, they didn't believe me, Wiki doesn't have this paragraph anymore, which I'm glad of....
I think we can all agree with the pro's and con's of a sequel.
Lets not go past out borders of the house, its inhabitants, the Lovats, their past, the Other Mother and her origins, and this Other World and all of its mysteries. I do hope this gets a kick-off start if it ever happens. That's what I think.
Although Selick did mention a few times in the interview that he prefers working With ANOTHER of Gaiman's works, like "The Graveyard book" which is awesome nothertheless (being a Gaiman fan) but still a bite to us that are left at a cliff-hanger.

No WONDER all the fanfics made are awesome! This tale just lets off plenty of room for more, and each story explains what they like on their own. I've read just about every story on fanfiction about Coraline.
The most interesting are Wybie being the victim after Coraline, and messes with the idea of what happened to his parents. Pretty much, the stories revolve around the fact that the Other Mother is NOT officially gone, and comes back, or just mentally taunts and scarred Coraline.
I personally just find it fascinating!
