some people have said that if there was a sequel to Coraline, it would ruin the movie, which I really don't get. I mean, if you're already a Coraline fan, wouldn't you want a sequel?

Well, The movie AND the book have a simple purity to it that should be left alone. Yanno The Nightmare Before Christmas? Disney was GONNA make a sequel. Instead of using stop-motion, they were gonna use C.G. THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE IT COMPUTER GENERATED. That's one of MANY ways a classic movie can be destroyed with a sequel.

oh, well, if they where gonna make a sequel, it should still be stop-motion.
but the thing about Coraline was that it felt open ended. I mean, the Beldam can still get her other hand under the door, right? and how did she know to make that doll look like Coraline if she's never seen her before?

Mmmm I wouldn't mind to see a sequel! On the chance it might be gooood!
But if it was horrible. Then i'd just stick to the original. c: A bad sequal wouldn't make me hurt the first!

Uh because it doesn't need one! It's perfect the way it is and doesn't need a sequel to increase its popularity or make it a classic! It already is popular and it already is a classic! So there ya go, question answered.

hey, don't get mad. I agree, the movie was perfect. it's just...I wish there was more of the movie, you know? like even if there isn't a sequel, it would be interesting if they made a TV show or something. like I wanna see other things they can make with the puppets, like do a half-hour show or something.
